Who we are

We provide sexual health information, testing and treatment for the London boroughs of Brent and Harrow. We also provide a comprehensive in-patient and out-patient HIV treatment service.

Our two clinics offer a free and confidential service to all-comers without the need for a GP referral.

10 things to know before you arrive:

  1. We operate a mainly walk-in service. This means that we can usually see you on the day you want to be seen. Places are limited though, so arrive early.
  2. A walk-in service means that you may have to wait to be seen. The average time from arrival to leaving is 2 hours.
  3. You may need to give a urine sample in clinic. Male patients need to have held their urine for at least 4 hours before tests are taken.
  4. Anything you tell us in clinic is held in the strictest confidence. We will not discuss your details with anyone unless you give your permission for us to do so.
  5. We are able to provide contraception at our young persons clinic at the Central Middlesex site. At other times, and if you are over 19 years old, contraception (with the exception of condom provision) is not available. Patrick Clements Clinic offers an adult contraception clinic by appointment Thursday 1-3 for existing PCC patients.
  6. We are able to offer HIV post-exposure prophylaxis. This treatment must be started within 72 hours. Outside of clinic opening times, you should attend accident and emergency. For more information see The Terence Higgins Trust's PEP information.
  7. Anyone who has been sexually assaulted should contact The Havens. We can see people who have been sexually assaulted if it is not possible for them to attend The Havens.
  8. No news is good news. In the majority of cases will we not contact you with negative results. We will always inform you of positive results within 2 weeks.
  9. Our service is free to all.
  10. Our staff have the right to work without fear or intimidation. Aggressive behavior will not be tolerated and may mean you are not seen.
